Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, it took Katie only one visit to the University of Kansas campus for Lawrence to feel like home (that, and finding out there was a bowling alley in the bottom of the Union!). Katie graduated from KU with an Elementary Education degree and a Masters in Learning Disabilities. After many rewarding years of teaching, she has been able to dedicate herself to what she loves the most, her husband and two beautiful boys.
